Aqua Anio Novus
Drawing of Grotte Sconce possibly of Claudian date, made by Cav. Italo Gismondi and printed as
fig 31 (pag 278) in Th. Ashby's book (1935). The reservoir is about 44 m long and its chambers
were some 11 - 13m wide with walls of 0,6m thick. The distribution between the triple basin and
the down-channels is about 75m.
