Aqua Virgo
Modern map (1958) of the water collecting site of ACEA in Salone, 11 km east of Rome, with an inserted
map of 1871. In the 1930's a new, pressurized aqueduct - the Acqua Vergine Nuova - was built to supply
modern Rome. Note the series of small arrows indicating subterranean draining galleries.
