Piraeus aqueduct?

Map of Athens made by order of Ziller and published in 1877. Along the Ilissos river (bottom) a
series of shafts with the text “Wasserleitung unter dem Ilissos bett” (aqueduct under the river bed
of the Ilissos), bringing water to the west, direction Piraeus. This is probably the start of the Long
Walls aqueduct of Piraeus.Note the ‘Wasserbehalter’ (reservoir) SW of the Lykabettos hill of
Hadrian’s aqueduct and the absence on the drawing of the Greek and Roman Agora (yet).
