Syntagma

Display in the main hall of the metro station Syntagma (Athens). The earliest remains on this site
are a section of the so-called Peisistratean aqueduct, located under the floors of a Roman building
and the tombs of a graveyard, and dated from the late 6th century BCE. It comprises a deep
rock-cut channel 15 meters long, inside which were laid seven pipes with decorative red bands.
