Wooden pipes

The main elements for the water distribution within the town must have been wooden pipes (in
German: Teuchel or Dunkel) of which only the metal sleeves and / or the well-formed 'sinter
pipes' (made of calcareous deposits inside the wooden pipes) remained. Typical lengths
2,2 - 3,2 m, inside some houses 1,4 - 1,6 m. Internal diameter of the right ring 7,5 cm. Photo
