Small settling basin

Castrum Rauracense (present Kaiseraugst, Ch) was equipped with (at least) two Roman aqueducts:
masonry channels probably covered by wooden or stone plates. A small but interesting settling
basin in one of the channels is at display near the Roman forum of Augusta Raurica. Its
dimensions: 0,31 m deep, 1,2 m long. Channel width 0,30 - 0,40 m.
