After 1/4th of its course the conduit of the Brevenne aqueduct broadens but the supposed side branch(es) are not found yet. The aqueduct had an irregular profile, with four tunnels and at least six chutes, each 150 - 400 m long and 44, 87, 30, 38, 33 and 8 m high.
The siphon close to Lyon, was 3500 long and 90 m deep. Of its venter bridge which was 200 m long and 25 m high,
only a few traces are left - the last arches collapsed in 1827. This site is called Pont des Planches,
close to Lyon-Ecully.
The upper part of the ramp, close to the receiving tank of the Ecully-Tassin siphon, is still intact.
The remains can be found in Lyon-Tassin-la-Demi-Lune and are called Les Massues, see photographs.
A second siphon has been supposed to cross the Trion valley but no traces are known.
The aqueduct must have delivered its water to Lugdunum / La Fourvière hill at a height of 280 m.
