Foundation of the bridge

In order to cross the depression between the present town Umm Qais and the ancient acropolis of Gadara an aqueduct bridge was built on which only pillar foundations and the remains of the most western arch are still present. Left the start of the upper tunnel and the remains of the conduit towards the lower tunnel under Gadara's acropolis (Kerner2004)
