Gortyn(a) (Greece / Crete)
About 500 m north of the acropolis of Gortyn (Crete) the lower aqueduct had a branch off to the opposite site of the gorge by means of a siphon. Taramelli (1902) supposed that the bevelled channel is an alteration of later date.
