Larnaca (18th c)
Annex to the mosque of the Sultan Tekkè near the airport of Larnaca, a fountain was built possibly fed by (the overflow
water of) the underground water channel of the Ottoman aqueduct of Larnaca. Such a fountain is used by Muslims
to perform a ritual washing before entering the mosque for prayer.
