Aimasos

Along the east side of the road to Eggares the remains of the ancient aqueduct of Naxos are clearly visible: two pipelines,
one above the other, and on top of that the Roman masonry channel (on the middle of the photo, just under the top).
The upper pipeline will have been a local substitute (by-pass) for the by sinter clogged lower line.
