Pipes at Katsagra

Because of neglect, agricultural and construction activities, almost all remains of the aqueduct between
Agidia and Chora are lost.. At an unknown place in the Katsagra area (the eastern quarter of Chora) an old picture
of two pipes remain. Note that these were made of stone, not (baked / sun dried) terracotta pipes and much
shorter that the pipes of the late 6th c BCE aqueduct.
In other aqueducts this type of robust stone pipes were used in a so-called siphon to bridge a depression.
