Basin in the caldarium

The labrum or large marble basin in the apse of the caldarium in the Forum Baths. Written around the rim
in bronze letters is an inscription (CIL X.817) which states that the duumvirs (two joint municipal
magistrates) had set this large basin here in 3-4 CE.
