Pompeii (Italy)
The aqueduct water entered the castellum from the north and was (also) controlled by plugs. In the upper
drawing two plugs took care for a balanced modus between the three outlets. In the lower drawing two
plugs pushed all the water into the middle outlet. Drawing from Ohlig 2016.
