Excavated mill-stone

The channel under the American Academy continued outside the building where in the years
1998 and 1999 prof. dr. A. Wilson executed excellent excavations searching for the remains of Roman
water-mills on this Janiculum hill, see his website. Like dr. R. Lanciani did over 100 years earlier, prof.
Wilson found mill-stones, one of which is exposed at the inner court yard of the Academy.
