Disengagement

Looking upstream, the Aqua Claudia, coming from Porta Furba, makes a sharp turn to the west where
the accompanying Acqua Felice turns to the east by mean of this archway. After a second oblong turn
the Felice joins the ancient trace of the Aqua Marcia heading north. Note the infill in the main
Claudia arch.
