N-side

The N part of the aqueduct before its water came to the N entrance of the Eupalinos tunnel. On the drawings details of the distances (853 m in total), gradients (between 0,6 en 0,75%) and heights. The water was transported in terracotta pipes with a bore of 20 cm, each part was 67 cm long. In between the Agiades basin and the N entrance at least 10 manholes have been discovered which had a function during construction, inspection and maintenance of the aqueduct. In between Π and A the pipes were laid in a cut-and-cover trench, from A to T the pipes were laid in a tunnel made in qanat-technique
