Channel near the cistern

Close to an ancient cistern (right) just S of the present road from Pythagorion to the S entrance of the Eupalinos tunnel, the remains of the Roman aqueduct channel are well preserved. The buttresses of the cistern are demolished in favor of the Roman channel so the cistern must be of elder date (Hellenistic?)
