Samos Roman

At the school yard

At the present location (waypoint S19-020) of the High School of Pythagorion (Samos-island) there must have been the last visible remains of the Roman aqueduct which - coming from Pyrgos / Myli in the W - brought water to the ancient town of Samos / present Pythagorion. Here in the valley of the Chesios the channel must have made a sharp turn to the S heading for Samos-harbor. At the schoolyard artwork hinting at an aqueduct (with amphora)
