Segovia 1 (Spain)

Bronze letters removed

A small section of wall of 16 x 2 m in the second tier of the aqueduct over the centre of the bridge
was initially meant to carry an inscription and statues, possibly of Hercules, the legendary founder
of Segovia. The bronze letters have long since been removed, and the only thing left are the
holes that were used to attach the letters to the wall.
