Weir in Aceveda River

The weir in the Aceveda River, the source of the Segovia aqueduct, seen from the north. The ledge
of stone is the device built by the Roman engineers to lead the water into the aqueduct channel
visible at lower right. The block at left, on top of the others was upturned during a flood and is
not in its original position.
