Crosssection Grotto Cocceio

From the Roman harbour at Lacus Avernus two (military) road tunnels
(Grotta Cocceio and Crypta Romana respectively) gave easy access to Cumae. Both were so wide that
two carts could pass each other. A branch line of the Aqua Augusta / Serino aqueduct towards Cumae
